Brand New Tamiya's 1/48 Mitsubishi A6M5/5a Zero Review
Brett Green from Hyperscale.com review Tamiya's new Mitsubishi A6M5/5a Zero. Looks like a good investment (even knowing that I'm not a fan of ww2 Japanese a/c) - awesome engineering and, as it seems from the pics, perfect detail.

Eduard Releases in August'08
We've another 1/48 scale Focke-Wolf 190 from Eduard this august. This time it's FW-190F-8 - late war bird.
And the model I wait for most of all is Eduard's 1/48 scale Fokker Dr. 1 triplane! It seems Eduard got their marketing policy in a very aggressive way: first of all they release Royal kit, then they release dual combo kit and then they release kit's weekend edition. Very smart way to increase their sales, don't you think?
Anyway, here's the kit I waited for so long - I'll have a very nice birthday present to myself in August! Here're the color profiles:

Sturmbock in-progress
Little update of my Sturmbock in progress. I just have finished airbrushing mottling on the fuselage.. Which, frankly speaking, was pain in the... eyes. ;) The thing is that I tried airbrushing mottling yesterday and I thought the mottling is alright and I would go on decaling the model. But today I've changed my mind and totally was dissapointed with how the mottling looked on the model. Photos of the subject were totally different. That's why I have repainted the mottling today and I must admit I'm quite happy with the result. Well, it seems I tend to be happy at the evenings ;)
Anyway, here're the results (feel free to post your angry comments and critisize the mottling and the model :)

Great News For Tamiya's 1/48 Armour Fans
While surfing Japanese i-shop 1999.co.jp - I stumbled upon quite an interesting news - in the late August 2008 Tamiya is going to produce 1/48 scale F-117A Nighthawk with Humvee! I always wanted to have a military Hammer model in my collection, but none of the company made a 1/48 scale kit of it. I have a birthday in August and I guess I know what gift I'm gonna have ;)
My Biplane Assembly Jig Review on Aeroscale
Some time I had a small review post of Sram's Biplane Assembly Jig on the blog. You can also read the detailed review version and my opinion about the tool on Aeroscale here.
As always I'm very interested to read your opinion and comments. Thanx in advance!

Swapey.com
Here's the place modellers and collectors needed and wished for long time ago - Swapey.com (at least I did =)
Swapey.com is the site that is totally dedicated to collecting and modelling as well. You can find all sorts of very interesting information about different subject modelling: tanks, dioramas, aircrafts, figures, etc.

The main thing I love the most the Swapey.com is that ranking features, which allows you voting for every model that appears on Swapey. This feature also makes it easy to post your opinion in comments thus having an almost interactive communication with other modellers. I always wanted to ask some of the most respected modellers by me the secrets of their techniques, but I rarely can get their e-mails to write them, but most of us are fed up with spam and therefore most of us are not willing to uncover the address.
Anyway, Swapey.com is a really great online collectors' and modellers' community and really worth registering there now as you get the possibility to win a prize - 100$ worth models of your choise from Swapey.
Hope to meet you @ Swapey.com!

More pics of Sram's Biplane Assembly Jig
Took some pics of Sram's biplane assembly jig with 48's scale Ni-17 on the jig. That's one of the best modeling tool I've purchased this year. Here're the pics:

Roman had posted a comment - wondering if this jig would help building 1/72 kits. I have Roden's Fokker D.VII 1/72 kit I think of giving a try - my guess would be that Sram's biplane assembly jig would also help building 1/72 kits and helping to attach the top wings. Anyway, I'll have to try it myself.

Biplane Assembly Jig
As you might know, one of the most difficult things of building WW1 is attaching the second wing. Which in most of the cases sits on the wing and cabane struts. This the most difficult thing to me - to align and glue the top wing. Now I don't have to worry about it as I've purchased and already enjoy the features Biplane Assembly Jig. Here's the pic of the assembled Jig on Modelimex:
I have purchased my Jig for less 20 Euros on Modelimex online shop. You can purchase Sram's Biplane Jig here. Here's the picture of Biplane Assembly Jig in dismounted condition:
I've assembled my jig in about 15 minutes. I also discovered that this Biplane Assembly Jig is also helpful when decaling painted models - sometimes I wish I had 4 hands while trying to attach tiny photoetch pieces together or decaling the model. This jig is really a helpful hand. I really think this tool is really worth the investment. I'll post pics of my Eduard's 1/48 Ni-17 on the biplane assembly jig later. All I can say that I'm really happy to see my Nieuport with both wings attached :) All the pics of the Jig are via Modelimex.
Highly recommended! ;)

Modelimex hobby shop
Couple days ago I've placed the order (Quickboost resin stuff and Eduard's PE) within Modelimex. Then on the 14th of May I've received e-mail from Modelimex manager Petr Kovar that my parcel was sent to me. And what do you think? On the morning of 16th I've found the "invitation" to the post office to receive my parcel!! Well, that's an operative service! Packagin was in order and everything was inside the parcel. I'm very satisfied with Modelimex service and will surely order from them in future!
Very, very highly recommended!
